We asked: "Are your customers happy to hear that you are providing them with a way to view their home from foundation to finish as the home is being constructed?
Teresa Tuten (Online Sales Manager)-- I just had an internet customer buy from Steele Creek Landing and he said this service was one of the reasons he bought because he lives in Coral Gables, FL.
Christopher Reid (Lions Gate)-- Absolutely! I have clients in MD and FL that are keeping track of their construction progress thru this service. They are showing their friends and family, who are also starting to contact me!
Mona Mizell (Riverbend)-- Yes, my out of town buyers are happy to view their home and see the progress. The Realtors are also finding photos useful to see the actual home and stage of construction!
Donna Stevenson (Millwood Plantation)-- Yes my customers in Millwood are very happy, they like being able to see the progress each week.
Amy Bushnell (Lakeshore)-- Most of my customers are using this program to verify what has been done during the week and also to show their friends and relatives the home they are building. The majority of these buyers live out of state…it is a great tool.
Thomas Woodruff (Dominion Grove)-- The majority of my buyers are out of state. Being able to track their homes weekly at their leisure is a huge selling feature! This program saves them time being able to focus on certain locations, builders, and floor plans, and money. Fewer trips before they buy!!!
Jeff Kidd(River Pointe)-- Yes the out of towners especially, they have all their family and friends looking!!!
Tammy Scherer (Huntington Forest)-- WAY TOO MANY EXAMPLES TO LIST! I have had numerous people respond to this feature. I have 2 customers from Florida that use it every week to see if their lot has been cleared at Dominion. I have had numerous people that aren’t under contract (yet) that I have shown it to and they get so excited at the possibility of seeing their home under construction. I have shown it to real estate agents who can’t say enough good about it. It has been a great tool for me!!
John Redmond (New Home Specialist)-- Customers love it. I just wrote a contract and they said that they loved that aspect of seeing their home being built online.

Teresa Tuten (Online Sales Manager)-- It helps me every day. I have the customers view the floor plans and then they go to your site to see the actual house. How great is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christopher Reid (Lions Gate)-- Yes, Realtors are especially impressed with not having to drive out all the time, or to have to call me for any update. One client saw a home had sold, so he rushed out to lock in on his!
Mona Mizell (Riverbend)-- Yes, it is working great, when someone calls or emails or a realtor calls or emails, I send them to the website to view the homes and it is a great tool!
Thomas Woodruff (Dominion Grove)-- Shopping on the internet is very common in my price range. Your program helps in the buying process of field models and presales. Buyers come in town prepared to look at specific models to build, shortcutting the buying process. They will call on field models and get a short list reducing their search.
Jeff Kidd (River Pointe)-- I can use it when I get an out of towner or when a husband or wife comes in without the other. I have already thought that I can use this when I have 1 of a couple sitting with me, I can say “well lets call them and get them on line to look at the home.”
Tammy Scherer (Huntington Forest)-- I had a customer in a week ago Saturday. It was POURING down rain and so we were going over financing and talking about the process of buying a home from DR Horton, Etc. Anything I could do to occupy our time because I couldn’t take them out & show them houses (it was one of those rains that come through quick & end quick). So, we jumped on the website and I was able to show them the inside and outside of homes site 40, Which is what they wanted to see. I use this on everyone that is a possible prospect- I use this as part of my presentation to one of the benefits of buying from DR Horton. Again, too many examples to list! Demi probably has a few that I have sent to her individually.
Joanne Drake (New Home Specialist)-- Yes they have noticed this on at other developments and are looking forward to seeing this on their home.

Teresa Tuten (Online Sales Manager)-- I believe it will! I think by keeping customers informed, they feel like they are being taken care of on a weekly basis. It also gives the agents something to discuss when they call. The more you touch the customer, the more they feel like they are in the loop.
Christopher Reid (Lions Gate)-- Already has! Any time of day or night, a client can see the most recent progress of their home. I have many clients who are not from here, and they are able to have their friends and family see their home! This has brought a future sale to me; a clients father had to come down and see what a great deal it was for himself, and is now waiting for phase II.
Mona Mizell (Riverbend)-- Yes I do believe it will help improve all aspects of our building and selling and customer satisfaction!
Donna Stevenson (Millwood Plantation)-- Yes, I do believe this will increase our scores. This is just one more way of showing our buyers that we value them.
Amy Bushnell (Lakeshore)-- Most definitely. Especially since they have a weekly visual update to correspond with the phone calls. I had one customer see something that was done incorrectly from the pictures and phoned me. We were able to make the correction from his call.
Thomas Woodruff (Dominion Grove)-- New Home Watch has to improve customer relations. The customer is not relying on sales or production to relay information, it’s at their finger tips!!!
Jeff Kidd (River Pointe)-- Yes, It will always be there for them to get an update, and I can have them go online while I call them for my weekly updates!!
Tammy Scherer (Huntington Forest)-- Yes, Because if they are out of town and I don’t call them or the builder doesn’t call them every week for an update, they will feel like they have been updated because they can see it for themselves!!!
John Redmond (New Home Specialist)-- Yes they will not be guessing they will have info at their fingertips.

Do you like the mapping tool where customers can easily view the sold / available home sites? Have you been using this as a sales tool?

Amy Bushnell (Lakeshore)-- Not only is this a helpful tool for customers and realtors alike but I use it to view the company inventory and progress. Many times I have a customer where this neighborhood will not work but I can easily show them one that does with your pictures on other DR Horton sites.
Thomas Woodruff (Dominion Grove)-- Again, The buyers can narrow their search down to 1-2 floor plans and decide on homesite location, selecting first and second choices on homesites pending their buying trip. The overall program allows the buyer to arrive with more confidence, knowing what they want and are less confused, therefore making the buying process a pleasant experience!!!
